dying wool naturally with Turmeric

Once again I played around with my wool and dye. This time I raided my cupboards and found: Turmeric! :-)
Before it has been used in food it already was used as a dye. It´s also very easy to use. No mordant needed.
And how it dyes! I put about 40 g in warm water and got that intense orange color. After that I just used one tablespoon and got the sunshine yellow color on the left. The third batt (on the right) is a mixture of wool, silk and yak.
After that I will need some very soft pastel yellow. Well, let´s see .....
