Houppelande handsewn from yellow silk in 1:12th scale

Houppelandes were worn by man and woman as early as 1370 up to late medieval times. There are numerous versions. I made my miniature version from a gorgeous yellow silk, green tafetta, trimmed with fur and adorned with "golden" beads. It has straight sleeves and some form of oversleeve.

You are really such a wizard with these costumes. Every one is a sight to behold but the opulence and luxury of this one really shows off your talent. Love them all (that wizard piece is my fav)
